Kirsten Riley is a ceramic sculptor who required a website to act as an online portfolio for her artwork. The brief was to build a simple, yet stylish website that would compliment her sculptures. The minimal style of the design with its elegant typography acts as a complimentary backdrop to the images of Kirsten’s sculptures, a jQuery lightbox effect is used for the Gallery images.
For the logo design, Kirsten’s signature “K” has been made ultra-bold while her business name has been arranged inside the “K” to have a sculptural, human form. Hill House font was chosen for the text for its visual connection to the Arts and Crafts movement.
